Batch after batch, the VEKAblue™ substrate will adhere to the strict standards ASTM F-964 and D-1784, which assure proper tensile strength, impact resistance, heat distortion, expansion contraction, flexural modulus flattening, capstock thickness and weatherability.

With VEKAblue inside, it is easy to identify VEKA's even thicker capstock, which is a key factor in durability and weatherability. VEKA's in-house accelerated weathering equipment coupled with years of actual outdoor exposure all over the world have given the company the knowledge to formulate and blend a capstock that adheres to ASTM requirement for weatherability.

VEKA's profiles are also tested according to the American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA) lineal certification program, which requires that the finished profiles be tested for shrinkage, impact and dimensional stability at regularly prescribed intervals. In addition, VEKA maintains its own 3-tier quality assurance program with go gauges based on statistical process control (SPC).

Furthermore, the AAMA program requires that independent 3rd party inspectors arrive at VEKA unannounced to review record keeping and to sample profiles from inventory and production. These samples are returned to their lab for validation testing and outdoor weathering in Florida, Arizona, and Kentucky.
