VEKA Announces New President
VEKA Announces New President - Joe Peilert
VEKA Inc announced today that Mr. Walter Stucky, President & CEO of the North American division, will be stepping down as President --beginning March 1, 2010. Mr. Stucky will remain CEO of VEKA Inc. until June 30th, 2010, in order to smoothly transition VEKA’s newly appointed President, Mr. Joe Peilert.
Most recently, Mr. Peilert served as President & CEO for TMI International, LLC, a leading manufacturer of flexible PVC products. Prior to joining TMI, Mr. Peilert worked as the General Manager & Executive Vice President for Ardex North America in the building materials industry.
 Fluent in English and German, Mr. Peilert gained extensive international experience working on four continents in different sales, marketing and corporate development functions. He states, “I became familiar with VEKA Inc’s innovation and quality leadership 18 years ago, when I moved to the United States. I was very intrigued by
their success and I am excited to now be a part of a strong team that is poised for
future growth.”
Mr. Stucky retires his position as CEO on June 30th, 2010 but will be retained by VEKA in a consulting role as well as various special interest projects until the end of 2011. Mr. Stucky has served as VEKA Inc’s President and CEO for the past 9 years and as VEKA Inc’s Executive Vice President for the previous 14 years. Mr. Stucky is excited about his new role with VEKA and eagerly anticipates working with Mr. Peilert in assisting him in continued growth with the North American PVC profile extruder.
